追悼スティーヴ・クロッパー特集

只今、先日他界したスティーヴ・クロッパーの追悼特集を開催中です！

R.I.P. Steve Cropper （1941年10月21日 – 2025年12月3日）
メンフィスソウルの象徴であるスタックスレコードの伝説的ギタリスト、スティーヴクロッパー。ブッカーT&ザMG’sを筆頭に、オーティスレディング、サム＆デイヴ、ウィルソンピケット、ステイプルシンガーズ、エディフロイド、ジョニーテイラー、ロッドスチュワート、忌野清志郎、ブルースブラザーズなどなど…数々の名盤に参加してきた百戦錬磨のセッションマン。

テレキャスターから放たれる鋭いカッティングと、歌に寄り添う叙情的なオブリガートは、ギター界の「引き算の美学」の到達点とも言える。数々の名曲において、その「核」となる鮮烈な名フレーズを次々と世に送り出した。それらは、その後のロックやファンクの基礎を築いたと言っても過言ではない。

…ということで、今回はそのスティーヴクロッパーのリーダーアルバムからブッカーT&ザMG’s、そしてサイドマンとして参加した数々の名盤を、アナログ盤を中心に多数出品いたしました！
